LockBox Privacy Policy

LockBox Password Manager ("LockBox") is a browser extension that helps you generate passwords, save credentials locally, and autofill web forms. Your privacy is central to how LockBox is built.

1. Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. LockBox does not operate backend servers for vault storage, analytics, or account sync.

2. Data stored on your device

All of the following stays on your computer inside Chrome extension storage, encrypted with keys derived from your master password or PIN:

• Saved website credentials (site name, URL, username, password)
• Personal autofill information you choose to save (name, email, phone, address, etc.)
• Extension settings and biometric unlock metadata (if enabled on supported devices)

LockBox uses a zero-knowledge design: your master password and PIN are never stored in plain text.

3. Permissions and why they are needed

• storage — save your encrypted vault and settings locally.
• activeTab — interact with the current tab when you trigger autofill or save prompts.
• Host access (http/https) — detect login and registration forms, show autofill controls, and fill fields only when you use the extension.

4. Data sharing

LockBox does not share user data with third parties. No cloud backup or sync is performed by the extension.

5. Biometric unlock (optional)

If you enable biometric unlock on a supported device, WebAuthn platform authentication is used locally to derive an encryption key. Biometric templates are handled by your operating system and browser; LockBox does not receive or store raw biometric data.

6. Children

LockBox is not directed at children under 13.

7. Changes

We may update this policy when the extension changes. The "Last updated" date will be revised accordingly.

• 扩展设置，以及在支持设备上启用时的生物识别解锁元数据

3. 权限及用途

• storage：在本地保存加密保管库和设置。
• activeTab：在您主动使用自动填充或保存提示时与当前标签页交互。
• 网站访问权限（http/https）：识别登录/注册表单，显示填充按钮，并仅在您操作时填入字段。

4. 数据共享

LockBox 不与第三方共享用户数据，也不提供云备份或同步。

5. 生物识别解锁（可选）

若在支持的设备上启用，将使用 WebAuthn 在本地派生加密密钥。生物特征由操作系统和浏览器处理，LockBox 不接收或保存原始生物识别数据。

6. 儿童

LockBox 不面向 13 岁以下儿童。

7. 政策变更

扩展功能更新时我们可能修订本政策，并更新「最后更新」日期。
